Cosafa U20 : Top five performers from day one

The COSAFA U20 Championships kicked off on Wednesday 7 November at Arthur Davies Stadium in Zambia with three interesting fixtures.  A number of players performed exceptionally and below are the top five performers on the day.

5. Victor Guambe (Mozambique)

The Mozambique goalkeeper was in fantastic form despite conceding the only goal of the game in the late stages of the match. Guambe saved a number of Egyptian sure goals.

4- Levison Maganizo (Malawi)
The captain of The young flames was key in his teams three-two win over Swaziland. Mazanizo controlled the temple of the game and showed great awareness when on the ball.

3- Ntombise Muzi (Swaziland)
Muzi scored his team's equaliser when Malawi were one nil up, Despite it not being enough to help them even secure a draw but his overall performance on the day was something to be applauded for.

2- Patrick Phiri (Malawi)
Phiri put up a man of the match performance in Malawi's win over Swaziland scoring twice. The youngster tormented the opposition defence always keeping them on their toes.

1- Muhammad Shaban (Uganda)

The KCCA wonder kid was a marvel to watch. He dismantled Zambia's defence all on his own and scored a brace to top it off.
