Liverpool have progressed to the knockout phase of the Champions League after finishing top of Group E.
Jurgen Klopp’s side cemented top spot with a 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow on Wednesday evening, meaning that they are one of the seeded teams for next Monday’s draw. But despite finishing top, Liverpool still face tricky ties as Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid are all available in the runners-up pot.
Liverpool cannot draw another English team, meaning they will avoid Chelsea in the next round. They will also be unable to play Sevilla as they were in Liverpool’s group.
