The Africa Zone Regional Anti-Doping Organastioan (RADO) has officially confirmed that Ugandan player Sam Senkoomi has been banned for using banned substance.
The former Express captain failed the test that was carried out last year in October.b he was found guilty of using Furosemide – one of the drugs prohibited by the World Anti-Drug Agency.
He was initially banned for four years but the sentence was reduce by half and backdated.
“RADO’s assessment of the player’s degree of fault took a decision to reduce the ban from four years to two years with effect from 15th November, 2017. However RADO has taken into account the provisional suspension time served by Senkoomi since 11th January, 2017. In view of this, Senkoomi will be suspended up to 11th December, 2018,” domestic football governing body, Fufa, confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.

RADO is the body charged with implementation of the anti-doping code in countries who are members of zone V.
