Arsene Wenger believes Jack Wilshere deserves England call-up as he feels he has done enough.
The England midfielder is yet to get a call-up from Gareth Southgate since he became the Three Lions manager. Wilshere could be included in Thursday’s squad after getting regular playing time at Arsenal in recent months.
During his press conference on Wednesday, Wenger was asked if he thinks whether Wilshere is likely to be called and he replied, “ Yes and I wish he is in the England squad. The vibes I get are positive. I believe he has a good chance to be in there, but we have to leave that to Gareth Southgate. I have enough to do with my job."
Wilshere, who hasn’t feature for the Three Lions since Euro 2016 was earlier in the season warned by Southgate he would not be picked unless he plays regularly.
Future at Arsenal
Wenger admitted that there has been no progress in contract talks with the midfielder. The 25-year old’s contract expires at the end of the current season and he is yet to agree a new deal.
